this is a pastry tart my mom always makes. you can use any kind of jam/jelly for the filling. I like making my own peach butter and using that. ** the dough can be tough to handle, so I like using the cookie press/gun
Ingredients:
120 g plain flour
120 g self rising flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
150 g cold butter
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons cold water
Directions:
1. Sift both flour into a large bowl. add salt.
2. add butter into flour and blend until texture looks like fine bread crumbs.
3. add egg yoke and water and knead in lightly.
4. let rest in refrigerator. roll out dough on a lightly floured surface using rolling pin. dough needs to be 1/2 thick.
5. preheat oven to 350.
6. cut out circles with cookie cutter. transfer to baking pan.
7. spoon out jam/jelly to the middle of each dough circle.
8. place in oven for 10-15 minnutes.
9. take out and let cool.
10. Eat!
