Chile-infused tequila is used in place of the traditional vodka. Ingredients:
2 jalapenos |
2 cups white tequila |
1 cup fresh lime juice (about 16 limes) |
1/2 cup agave nectar |
Directions:
1. Roast jalapenos over gas flame or under broiler until soft and charred. Stem and chop chiles. 2. Place chiles and seeds into a jar. Add tequila and let sit 1 hour. Strain through fine mesh sieve and discard solids. 3. Stir in lime juice, agave nectar and 2 cups ice. 4. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until ice is melted. 5. Divide among 8 chilled gimlet glasses. |
