JALAPENO PEPPER JELLY This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brimley Estate in McKinney, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
6-1/2 cups granulated sugar |
1-1/2 cups white vinegar |
1 cup ground bell pepper |
1/2 cup ground jalapeno peppers |
1 bottle certo |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, vinegar and peppers. 2. Cook over low heat and boil two minutes. 3. Set off heat and let stand 5 minutes. 4. Add Certo then stir well and put pepper jelly in sterilized jars. |
