If you enjoy spicy foods and love grits, this one is for you. This calls for fresh jalapeno; however, one could easily substitute a few canned pieces of jalapenos. Perhaps you might add a little liquid from the can or jar. Tabasco completes the spicy taste. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups grits
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 jalapenos, fresh chopped
2 garlic cloves, pressed
2 teaspoons tabasco sauce
Directions:
1. Mix altogether.
2. Bake uncovered 1 hour at 400 degrees.
