Brown basmati cooked with jalapeno sauteed in butter. Improvised to accompany roasted veggies. Ingredients:
1 cup brown basmati rice |
1/2 tablespoon vegetable bouillon granules, dissolved in |
2 cups boiling water |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 jalapeno pepper, minced |
Directions:
1. Sautee jalapeno in butter in a small pot with a tight lid. 2. When pepper has softened, add rice and stir for a minute. 3. Add water/boullion to the pot and bring to a boil. 4. Lower heat and simmer about 40 mins, until rice is done. |
