Jack's Savory Sausage Stuffing |

This is my Dad's recipe. It's my favorite stuffing in the whole wide world. It will stuff a 20 lb. turkey or you may bake in a 2 quart casserole (or two) for 40 minutes on 350. Ingredients:
1 lb pork sausage, browned |
1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 cup celery, chopped |
7 cups bread cubes |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth |
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon ground rosemary |
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme |
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper |
1 teaspoon ground sage |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage in skillet. 2. Drain sausage. 3. Combine soup, chicken broth and seasonings in bowl. 4. Add Sausage, Onion, Celery and Bread Cubes. 5. Gently stuff bird or bake in 2 quart casserole dishes at 350 for 40 minutes. |
