Created by adopting parts of some other recipes, deleting / changing to suit my tastes. Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
3/4 cup quick oatmeal |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 dash ground black pepper |
1/2 cup chopped onions or 3 tablespoons dry minced onions |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1 egg, beaten |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon onion powder |
Directions:
1. Grease a 3 X 9 loafpan w/ margarine, Mix all ingredients well, in a bowl, & form in a loaf in the pan. Bake 350' for 1 hour. 2. Can make an optional sauce for the top = 1/4 C Ketchup, 1 tsp Onion Powder & 1 tsp of Prepared Dijon or Yellow mustard. Spoon on top and sprinkle a few minced onion flakes on top before baking. |
