This is my Dad's famous recipe. He used to make it for my sister and I when we were little and we both loved it! Use kosher hot dogs for the best flavor. Ingredients:
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer |
1 (16 ounce) can baked beans |
1 (16 ounce) package beef hot dogs, sliced into 1/4 inch slices |
1 tablespoon honey |
Directions:
1. Pour the beer into a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Add hot dog slices, and cook for about 5 minutes, until plump. Drain and discard beer, leaving hot dog slices in the pan. Stir in the baked beans and honey. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
