This is from Pon Top Edisto . Supposedly this was a favorite of a famous lowcountry hog hunter and alligator wrestler named Jack Bone. All I know is it is killer on chicken on the grill. Ingredients:
2 cups apple cider vinegar |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 cup chopped tomato |
1/2 cup minced onion |
4 tablespoons black pepper |
2 tablespoons red pepper flakes |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 lb brown sugar |
1 tablespoon chopped sweet basil |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan; simmer 1 hourr. |
