I combined a couple of favorite recipes to come up with this ground beef-based treat and my cats loved them. Sweet Pea skipped the cut up pieces and went straight for the balls. I managed to photograph her attacking them, then redirected her to the more appropriate-sized portion for delicate little girl kitties. ;) Ingredients:
1/2 cup dry milk or 1/2 cup powdered milk |
1/2 cup wheat germ |
1 teaspoon honey |
1/4 lb lean ground beef |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients together, then stir in honey and ground beef until well combined.
2. Form 3/4-inch to 1-inch balls and bake on greased cookie sheet or silicon sheet at 350F for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through. They might cook fast, so check frequently.
3. Cool completely and serve. Break up large pieces for tiny cat mouths.
