Italian Vanilla Cream Dessert |

This silky smooth Italian dessert is always served cold accompanied by fruit. Did I mention how EASY this is? Ingredients:
1/4 cup milk |
1 (1/4-ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin |
2 cups (1 pint) heavy whipping cream |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
fresh raspberries, strawberries and/or blueberries |
Directions:
1. Pour milk into medium bowl; sprinkle with gelatin. Let stand until gelatin is softened (2 minutes). 2. Place whipping cream and sugar in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved (4 minutes). Remove from heat. 3. Add cream mixture to gelatin mixture; mix well. Stir in vanilla. 4. Pour mixture evenly among six (6-ounce) ungreased ramekins or custard cups. Cover; refrigerate until firm (4 hours or overnight). 5. Run knife around edges of each ramekin. Unmold onto individual serving plates; surround with fresh berries. |
