Spicy, saucy sandwiches made in the crock pot. Perfect for football games, tailgates, pot lucks, or camping! Kinda like a meatball sub, but the ground beef/hot sausage is formed into a patty (like a burger). Serve in warm buns with some mozzarella or provolone cheese. YUM! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 lb hot pork sausage (such as jimmy dean brand) |
1/2 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs |
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 tablespoon italian seasoning |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 tablespoon fennel seed |
salt and pepper |
1 (27 1/2 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (or 2 jars if you want extra sauce) |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 tablespoon italian seasoning |
1 tablespoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Combine meat mixture and seasonings. 2. Make into 10-12 thin patties and brown in frying pan until done. 3. Combine sauce ingredients in crock pot. 4. Add browned patties and cook on low for 4-5 hours. 5. Serve patties on buns with or without mozzarella or provolone cheese. |
