Italian-Style Rice for Two |

Perfect to serve at a romantic dinner for two. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon chopped onion |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/3 cup uncooked long grain rice |
1 1/4 cups chicken broth |
1 dash ground turmeric |
1/4 cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. 2. Add rice; cook over medium heat for 2 minutes,stirring constantly. 3. Stir in broth and turmeric; bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. 5. Stir in cheese and serve. |
