I got this recipe from My Great Recipes . They are very flavorful and go real well with a tossed salad and garlic breat Ingredients:
1 ib. lean ground beef |
1/4 cup cold water |
3/4 tsp. seasoned salt |
1/8 tsp. black pepper |
1 tbsp. minced parsley |
all-purpose flour |
1 egg, slightly beaten |
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs |
1 tbsp. oil |
4 slices mozzarella or monterey jack cheese |
1 cup spaghetti sauce |
2 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese parsley for garnish |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400.F 2. With hands mix lightly together beef, water, seasoned salt, black 3. pepper and parsley. Shape into 4 patties, about 3/4-inch thick. 4. Coat both sides of patties with flour. Dip into egg, then into crumbs. 5. Brown quickly in hot oil on both sides in skillet. 6. Arrange in a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Put a slice of cheese 7. on each patty. 8. Pour spaghetti sauce over patties. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. 9. Bake for about 25 min. 10. Garnish with parsley. |
