These apealing appetizers get hearty flavor from the ham,bacon and cheese. From Tasre of Home! Ingredients:
4 bacon strips,diced |
30 lg. fresh mushrooms |
1c onion and garlic salad croutons,crushed |
1c(4oz) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese |
1 med. tomato,finely chopped |
1/4lb ground,fully cooked ham |
1/4c grated parmesan cheese |
2tbs minced fresh parsley |
11/2 tsp minced fresh oregano or 1/2tsp dried oregano |
Directions:
1. In large skillet,cook bacon over med. heat till crisp. Use slotted spoon to remove to paper towel;drain,reserving 1 Tbs drippings. 2. Remove stems from mushrooms;set caps aside. Finely chop half of stems(save remaining for another use). 3. Add chopped stems to drippings with bacon;saute 2 to 3 mins..Remove from heat Stir in remaining ingredients. 4. Firmly stuff crouton mixture into mushroom caps. Place in greased 15x10x1 bking pan. Bake 425 for 12 to 15 mins or till mushrooms are tender |
