Italian Sausage With Bow Tie Pasta |

Quick dinner for the family. Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package bow tie pasta |
1 lb bulk italian sausage |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic |
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans italian stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped |
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon dried basil |
sheredded parmesan cheese (for garnish) |
Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. 2. In a large saucepan, cook sausage, onion, and pepper flakes over medium heat for 4-5 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink. 3. Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, and drain. 4. Stir in the tomatoes, cream, salt, and basil, and bring to a boil over medium heat. 5. Reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. 6. Drain pasta, toss with sausage mizture, and garnish with parmesan cheese. |
