Italian Prune Plum Nut Bread

This is an incredible bread that comes from my Aunt Maggie's collections. She was known all over Ohio for her baking skills. This is good for breakfast, brunch, snacks and great warm with melted butter or cream cheese. Read more . Enjoy
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup lemon yogurt
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
2 cups diced italian prune plums cut in 1/2 pieces
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. In large bowl cream butter, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
3. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
4. Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.
5. Blend yogurt and lemon peel then add to creamed mixture alternately with dry ingredients.
6. Stir until well blended then add plums and nuts and mix well.
7. Divide between 2 greased and floured loaf pans and bake 55 minutes.
