This is always good at my house.. A family favorite. Ingredients:
4 large pork chops, 1 inch thick |
1 clove garlic, sliced |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
salt and pepper to taste |
1 8oz can tomato sauce |
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced |
1 teaspoon parsley flakes |
1 teaspoon oregano |
2 green peppers, cut in 1 inch strips |
8 oz sliced mozzarella chesse |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 2. Brown garlic in olive oil in a fry pan; remove garlic. 3. Add chops, salt and pepper; brown on both sides. 4. Arrange chops in shallow baking dish. 5. Mix tomato sauce, mushrooms, seasonings together; pour over pork chops. 6. Lay green pepper over chops; cover 7. Bake for 1 hour. 8. Place cheese over chops and bake 15 minutes longer until cheese melts. 9. Serve over rice. 10. May add wine for half the tomato sauce if desired. |
