Made this up one night, trying to figure out how to cook some pork chops we had. Usually I use the yum yum pork chops from here but I didn't have the ingredients so I made up my own. Enjoy and let me know what you think! Note* If you'd like the sauce thicker, just add a small bit of a cornstarch/cold water mixture and boil until sauce thickens. Ingredients:
3 -4 pork chops |
1/2 cup italian dressing |
1/3 cup honey mustard (regular or brown would probably work too) |
2 tablespoons honey (to taste) |
1 dash red pepper flakes |
salt and pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, brown both sides of the chops. Drain any excess fat from the pan. 2. While browning, mix together the dressing, mustard, honey and pepper flakes. 3. Once chops have been browned, turn heat down to low. Pour sauce over chops and cover. 4. Cook for about 25 minutes, or until chops are done, turning every 5-7 minutes. 5. Serve with remaning sauce. |
