Italian Mushrooms Stuffed With Seafood |

I obtained this recipe from an estate sale purchase several years ago and thought it sounded really good so I tried it and it is not good, but EXCELLENT. I now serve these at showers, family birthday parties and my monthly card parties. Read more . I think you will be impressed if you make them. My friends all love them and beg me for them. Ingredients:
24 large mushrooms |
3 tablespoons melted butter |
1/2 cup minced white onion |
1/4 cup butter |
8 ounces frozen crab legs thawed |
1/3 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
grated parmesan cheese |
Directions:
1. Clean mushrooms. 2. Remove stems and chop 1 cup of them then set aside. 3. Dip mushroom caps in melted butter and place top down in a shallow casserole dish. 4. Sauté onion in butter. 5. Add chopped crab legs and chopped mushroom stems. 6. Cook slowly a few minutes until mixture is tender. 7. Stir in bread crumbs, salt and pepper then mix well. 8. Fill mushroom caps with seafood mixture. 9. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. 10. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. 11. Serve hot. |
