Italian Mushrooms in Vinegar (Funghi Al Salamoia)

A really good Italian appetizer!
Ingredients:
1/2 lb button mushroom
1 tablespoon whole spices
1 garlic clove
1 1/2 cups wine vinegar or 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Wipe mushrooms well with damp cloth.
2. Heat vinegar until lukewarm.
3. Put mushrooms in a sterilized glass jar.
4. Add spices, garlic, warm vinegar, & salt & stir thoroughly.
5. Cover jar tightly.
6. Set aside in dry place for 2 days.
