This is my favorite for a cold evening, great for sandwiches the next day Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef |
1/2 lb ground pork |
2 slices rye bread (or whatever you have on hand) |
2 slices white bread |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 teaspoon garlic |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Soak 4 slices of bread in water for 2 minutes. Squeeze water out of the bread slices. 3. Mix together all ingredients except tomato sauce and place in a bread/meatloaf baking pan. 4. Bake in oven for 45 minutes; pour can of tomato sauce over top of meatloaf and continue baking for additional 45 minutes. |
