Looking for the perfect meatballs to go with that spaghetti you've been craving recently? This is a quick, easy, and fun way to make delicious meatballs in an hour or less! This is also a great way to get you're kids involved if they are looking to help out in the kitchen! Read more ! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 cup dried bread crumbs |
1 clove garlic, minced |
2 tbsp minced parsley |
1 tbsp basil, crumbled |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper |
2 tbsp oil |
4 cups tomato sauce |
1/2 lb grated parmesan cheese |
**note: i would suggest using my homemade tomato sauce recipe for the tomato sauce! it's my grandmother's recipe and it is absolutely delicious |
Directions:
1. Combine the beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, salt, and pepper. 2. Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter. 3. Melt the oil in a saucepan. Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides; drain off the fat. 4. Add tomato sauce, cover, and simmer 40 minutes to an hour. 5. **NOTE: Great served over spaghetti or as a side for almost any other Italian pasta dish! |
