A really good, really easy pasta salad. An excellent sub for potato salad. From an old clipping file - probably Better Homes and Gardens. Ingredients:
4 ounces dry pasta (small macaroni, shell, etc) |
1/4 cup italian salad dressing |
1 cup cream-style cottage cheese |
1 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup celery, diced |
1/4 cup green pepper, diced |
2 tablespoons milk |
1 tablespoon green onion, sliced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 hard-boiled egg, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well. 2. While still hot, toss with Italian dressing; let stand 30 minutes. 3. Add remaining ingredients and chill. 4. Cooking time does not include chill time. |
