Don't remember where I got this from but it has always been one of the kids favorites and has been slightly modified over the years to suit everyone's tastes. Works well with various substitutions. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 small onion, chopped |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, basil, oregano & garlic flavored with juices |
2 cups cooked elbow macaroni |
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 tablespoon italian seasoning |
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce |
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms |
1/4 cup black olives |
1 1/2 cups pre-shredded mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Brown beef with chopped onion. Drain. 2. Stir in rest of ingredients. 3. Pour macaroni noodles in 9x13 pan. Stir mixed ingredients into noodles. 4. Top with shredded cheese. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min or until cheese is lightly browned. |
