Italian Easter Cookies: “frosted Dove” |

For this Easter holidays we prepare Frost Dove, because in Italy “Dove Cake” (la Colomba) is a special traditional dish. In this case we don’t prepare cake but cookies. Ingredients:
500 g flour |
300 g butter |
200 g sugar |
1 egg |
2 egg yolks |
1 lemon |
5 g yeast |
Directions:
1. Peel scratched lemon, put all together and when you have an uniform dough put in the fridge for 2 hours. 2. Than you can lay down your dough, doing cookies with an apposit cutter, and cooked for 20 minutes at 180°. 3. For the frosting, we use powdered sugar and water, and than we put almond scale or granule sugar. |
