Italian Chicken (Crock Pot/ Slow Cooker) |

A family favorite. Adatped from Simple & Delicious. Ingredients:
6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 8 ounces each) |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
3/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes |
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon |
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
3 tablespoons cornstarch |
3 tablespoons water |
hot cooked rice |
Directions:
1. Place chicken in crock pot. 2. Combine the tomatoes, 3/4 cup water, onion, bouillon and seasonings and pour over chicken. 3. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. 4. Pour cooking juices from crock pot into a saucepan. 5. Combine cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of water until smooth. 6. Stir into cooking juices and bring to a boil. 7. Cook and stir until thickened. 8. Serve with chicken and rice. |
