Italian Balsamic Mushrooms |

Savory, buttery. sauteed mushrooms. I adore mushrooms, this is one of the many ways I cook them. Ingredients:
8 oz carton sliced mushrooms (i usually use baby bella or button) |
1 clove or 1 tsp bottled minced garlic |
1 pkt italian dressing mix |
6 tbs salted butter, divided |
olive oil |
balsamic vinegar |
freshly ground salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Swirl a small amount of olive oil around a large nonstick skillet, add half of butter and heat over med-low heat. When butter and oil are heated add mushrooms and garlic, sprinkle with dressing mix.(NOTE: You will only be using a small amount of the mix) 2. When butter begins to cook away, add a few splashes of vinegar and stir. Turn mushrooms after 5-7 minutes, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste, add remaining butter, turn heat up to medium and cook until mushrooms are tender but still firm and browned, about 3-5 more minutes. |
