Makes between 2 dozen to 4 dozen - depends on the size of your ball. I use almonds for this recipe. I also use three different jams: boysenberry, raspberry, cherry, apricot or strawberry. This is my favorite cookie. Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter |
1 c. sugar |
1 egg |
1 tsp. almond extract |
2 c. sifted flour |
1 tsp. baking powder |
2 tbsp. milk |
2/3 c. chopped almonds |
1/4 c. apricot or strawberry jam |
Directions:
1. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and flavoring. Add flour, baking 2. powder and milk. Mix well. Roll small pieces of dough and 3. roll between palms into balls. Roll balls in chopped nuts 4. and place on greased cookie sheets. Make indentation with 5. thumb and fill with jam. 6. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes. 7. Makes 2-4 dozen. 8. url: |
