Ital Omelette --- A Caribbean Dish

this is a caribbean side dish .....very different indeed.....but tasty......
Ingredients:
4 - green bananas
1/2 - pint of water
1 - medium sized onion
3 - tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 - tablespoon of whole meal flour
1/2 - teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
Directions:
1. First slice off the ends of the bananas and
2. cut in 1/2 crossways.........
3. Next use a sharp knife and slit through the
4. skin to the flesh right along the length of
5. each banana half, pries off the skin using
6. your fingers.............
7. Place the bananas in an electric blender or
8. food processor.........
9. Blend till smooth adding the water a little
10. at a time to produce a soft consistency.
11. In a bowl, mix together the bananas with the
12. peeled and finely chopped onion.........
13. Stir in the whole meal flour and nutmeg.
14. In a heavy frying pan heat up the vegetable
15. oil, pour in the banana mixture then fry on
16. both sides until its golden brown...........
17. Finally, divide the omelets in portions and
18. serve with a salad.
