Irony's Chocolate Cookies |

Courtesy Irony-chan. I can't call them what she calls them and post the recipe here. Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups shortening |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour |
3/4 cup natural cocoa powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon table salt |
Directions:
1. Put shortening in a large bowl. Put in microwave on high 30 seconds.
2. Cream sugar into shortening. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Blend into wet mixture; batter will be stiff.
4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 8-9 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
