This is the chocolate pie my Mom makes at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We love it! So rich and creamy. She uses a graham cracker crust, but, homemade or frozen pastry shell would work too. Ingredients:

1 stick butter |
1-1/2 cups sugar |
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
4 tablespoons cocoa |
6 eggs, separated |
2-1/2 cups milk |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
9-inch graham cracker pie shell |
marshmallow meringue |
3 egg whites |
pinch salt |
jar marshmallow creme |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in iron skillet. 2. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour and cocoa. 3. Stir into melted butter in skillet. 4. Blend egg yolks and milk into sugar mixture. 5. Over medium heat, cook until thick. 6. Stir in vanilla. 7. Pour into pie shell. 8. Set on rack to cool 9. MARSHMALLOW MERINGUE 10. Beat 3 egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peak. 11. Add jar of marshmallow creme and continue beating until stiff peaks form. 12. Spread over cooled pie |
