Ingredients:
4 cup(s) all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 cup(s) golden raisins |
3 teaspoon(s) baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking soda |
1 tablespoon(s) caraway seeds |
2 cup(s) buttermilk |
Directions:
1. *Sift all over raisins and caraway seeds, stir well, make a well in center and add buttermilk. Turn on to lightly floured board and knead gently until not sticky. Shape into two round loaves, place lightly greased sheet and bake 40 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. 2. Note: Let dough rise 10 minutes and cut a shallow cross in the top. (optional) |
