If you like irish cream,you'll love this cake. Topped with a buttery irish cream glaze,this is one cake you'll make often. Ingredients:
1 cup chopped nuts-optional |
1 pkg. yellow cake mix |
1 box instant vanilla pudding |
4 eggs |
1/2 cup water |
1/2 cup oil |
1/2 cup irish cream-or to taste |
glaze |
1 stick butter |
1/4 cup water |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup irish cream |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Grease and flour a 12-cup bundt pan. 3. Sprinkle nuts in the bottom of pan. Set aside. 4. In a large mixing bowl,combine cake mix,pudding,eggs,water,oil,and irish cream. 5. Beat until well combined. 6. Pour batter into prepared pan 7. Bake for 1 hour 8. Let cake stand for 10 minutes then turn out onto wire cooling rack. 9. Cool Completely. 10. Glaze: 11. In small saucepan,combine butter water,and sugar. Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. 12. Remove from heat. 13. Add irish cream. 14. Place cooled cake onto a plate 15. Prick top and sides with a fork 16. Slowly pour glaze over top of cake allowing it to run down the sides. 17. Serve. |
