) is one based on a coffee flavour and is equally delightful with a compatible dessert. It uses Irish Cream Liqueur. Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar, golden |
1/4 cup water |
2 1/2 cups coffee, freshly brewed |
1/4 cup irish cream, liqueur |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the sugar and water to a boil, whisking constantly. Cook for 3 - 5 minutes or until mixture is syrupy. 2. Whisk in the coffee and cook 3 - 5 more minutes or until the sauce thickens. 3. Remove from heat and stir in the liqueur. 4. Serve hot over any dessert. |
