                    Mama Nazimas Jewish Iraqi cuisine. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                2 tablespoons olive oil  |  
                                                1 onion, chopped  |  
                                                2 cups rice  |  
                                                1 (4 ounce) can tomato sauce  |  
                                                4 tomatoes, large chopped  |  
                                                1/4 cup cilantro, minced for garnish  |  
                                                2 stalks celery, diced  |  
                                                1 teaspoon salt  |  
                                                1 1/2 teaspoons dill weed  |  
                                                1/2 teaspoon pepper  |  
                                                1/2 teaspoon garlic powder  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Heat olive oil. 2. Add onion; fry until translucent. 3. Add washed rice; stir 2 minutes. 4. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, celery, salt, dillweed, pepper and garlic powder. 5. Add 3 1/2 cups water. 6. After it comes to a boil. turn heat to simmer. 7. Cover and cook until rice is tender; do not open lid for 30 minutes.                              |
