Invigorating and Spicy Green Tea |

Try to use true Ceylon cinnamon, for the best aromatics. I cannot drink unsweetened green tea-too bitter. But my friend, Alison, loves it. So Ali-Cat, this one's for you. Ingredients:
4 green tea bags |
9 freshly cracked green cardamom pods or 9 white cardamom pods |
9 whole white peppercorns |
1 cinnamon stick (3 inch length) |
4 cups boiling water |
Directions:
1. Place tea bags in a prewarmed large teapot and set aside. 2. Place the spices in a 4-cup heatproof measuring cup and add the boiling water; stir to mix, then let the spices infuse for 2 minutes. 3. Quickly pour the infusion into the teapot, straining carefully to prevent the spices from going into the teapot. 4. Steep the tea in the spice infusion for an additional 2 minutes. 5. Strain the brewed tea into teacups and serve immediately. |
