This recipe came from a dear friend during my last months of pregnancy. I loved the ease and taste and am still making it for our family today. The recipe is cost-effective and great for making ahead or quickly assembly.
Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats (quick or old fashioned)
4 cups quick oats
2 cups powdered milk
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
Directions:
1. Blend 2 cups of rolled oats until they become powder.
2. Add powder to rest of ingredients and mix well.
3. Store in a closed container, a ziplock bag, or multiple ziplock bags for individual servings.
4. To make oatmeal.
5. Add about 1/2 a cup of boiling water to 3/4 cup of oatmeal mix. Adjust the amount of water to suit your texture preference.
6. Let sit for a couple of minutes before serving.
