This recipe is from Mary and John McDougall's All You Can Eat Cookbook . It's a delicious twist on oatmeal. This is great with chopped dates, strawberries, blueberries, etc.
Ingredients:
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup applesauce
2 tablespoons raisins (or other dried fruit)
1/2 cup sliced banana (or other fresh fruit)
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 dash cinnamon or 1 dash mace
Directions:
1. Combine the oatmeal, applesauce, raisins, and cinnamon or mace in a medium bowl.
2. Add boiling water and fresh fruit and let the mixture rest for 5 minutes before eating.
