This sure beats filling and rolling wontons for soup! Ingredients:
1 pound ground pork |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
3 (14 1/2 ounce) cans chicken broth |
1 cup water |
2 tablespoons soy or tamari sauce |
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced |
6 green onions, thinly sliced |
1 (6 ounce) package wonton wrappers, cut into 1/2 inch strips |
Directions:
1. In Dutch oven, brown pork over medium-high heat until no pink remains. 2. Drain off fat. 3. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining ingredients except wonton strips. 4. Bring to a boil. 5. Separate wonton strips and stir into soup. 6. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until wonton strips are cooked through. |
