Inside-Out Stuffed Green Bell Peppers |

This is a lot easier to make than the regular stuffed green peppers. My husband just loves it this way. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, cut up |
1 large green pepper, chopped (or several green peppers, suite your own taste) |
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice |
1/2 cup water |
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
4 ounces shredded cheese (or more to suite your taste) |
Directions:
1. In a skillet, brown beef. Drain. 2. Transfer to a greased 2-quart casserole dish. 3. Add the next 8 ingredients. 4. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until rice is tender. 5. Uncover and sprinkle with the cheese. 6. Return to the oven until cheese melts, about 5 minutes. |
