Insanely Easy Cranberry Sauce |

Whipped this up for Thanksgiving this year and even people who weren't nuts about cranberries couldn't put it down. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups white wine |
2 cups white sugar |
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon |
1 pinch ground ginger |
3/4 pound fresh cranberries |
1/4 pound fresh cherries, pitted and halved |
Directions:
1. Combine the wine, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Add the cranberries and cherries. Return to a simmer; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 45 minutes stirring occasionally. Refrigerate until cold before serving. |
