indonesian sate is really good, if you go to indonesia you have to give it a try Ingredients:
2 chicken breast, cut into 1inch cubes |
5 shallots |
5 candle nuts (or use cashew nut if you can't find candle nuts) |
3 garlic cloves |
1/s teaspoon of coriander powder |
bamboo skewers |
1 cup water |
1/4 cup oil |
pinch of salt and pepper |
1 cups sweet soy sauce |
6 chilis |
30 grams roasted peanuts, ground |
1/4 cup lime juice |
Directions:
1. Ground shallot, garlic, candle nut, and chilis, coriander powder into a very fine paste. 2. add 2 tbs of the paste and 4 tbs of sweet soy sauce, Marinate chicken with for at least 1 hours 3. with a little oil on low or medium heat, saute the paste until fragrant. 4. Add ground peanuts, sweet soy sauce, salt, pepper and water. 5. Mix well and slowly bring to a boil. add lime juice. 6. put 4 or pieces of chicken on bamboo skewers 7. Grill satay for 15 minutes, turning occasionally. |
