Indonesian Beef Satay
Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, trimmed
3 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
2 tsp brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/8 tsp crushed red pepper
Directions:
1. Cut meat in half, lengthwise, then slice across grain into 30 to 40 inch strips.
2. Whisk lime, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, curry and red pepper in a bowl. Add steak and toss gently. Cover and set aside at room temperature for 30 minutes. Soak bamboo skewers in the meanwhile.
3. Prepare grill pan on medium high. Lightly oil pan.
4. Thread 2 pieces of steak onto skewers, strectching as taut as possible.
5. Cook until steak is just cooked throughout 2 minutes per side. serve with peanut sauce.
