Serve these treats at brunch or for dessert with whipped cream topping. Ingredients:
1/2 cup apple jelly |
1 cup green seedless grape, halved |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 cup milk |
4 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 large egg, slightly beaten |
confectioners' sugar, for dusting |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Grease 12 cup muffin tin, then spoon 2 teaspoons apple jelly into each, and divide grape halves into each cup. 3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, butter, and egg. 5. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture just until moistened. 6. Divide dough into muffin cups and bake until golden, about 15 to 20 minutes (wooden toothpick should come out clean). 7. Leave cakes in muffin tin about 2 minutes, then remove to cool on cooling rack. 8. Dust with confectioners' sugar just before serving. |
