I am not sure where I saw,or read about this. But these are easy, impressive and always gets requests. The variations of filling baked won ton wrappers for salads or even desserts are endless. Ingredients:
won ton wrappers |
olive oil |
romaine lettuce |
shredded cheese ( i like asagio ) |
cesar salad dressing, bottled or home made |
Directions:
1. Fashion a won ton wrapper to serve as a vessel fitting into a medium sized oiled muffin cup 2. Brush the wrapper with olive oil 3. Bake them in a 400F until lightly golden, 5-8 minutes-watch carefully as not to burn them 4. Let cool 5. Meanwhile, very finely chop by hand Romaine lettuce 6. Remove the cooled won ton wrappers and them place on individual salad plates or in glass custard cups ( the photo shows them all on one plate ) 7. Fill the cups with the lettuce, then some cheese 8. Place a tablespoon of desired Cesar salad dressing over the top 9. Note: add what you want to each salad cup if desired such as mini croutons, chopped bacon etc etc 10. The salad can be as simple or complex as you want 11. Enjoy! |
