This quick and easy recipe is from the Ananda-In the Himalayas Destination Spa in Uttaranchal, India according to a cookbook with spa recipes I own. Time listed does not include marinating time. Ingredients:
5 shallots |
5 almonds |
5 cashews |
3 garlic cloves |
1 (2 inch) fresh ginger |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder |
1 teaspoon garam masala |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (more if desired) |
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 teaspoon salt |
fresh ground black pepper, to taste |
8 chicken thighs |
Directions:
1. Grind all ingredients except chicken into a paste (blender works ok - start with garlic) and coat chicken. Marinate 3 to 4 hours or overnight. 2. Grill on BBQ until meat is cooked and browned (approx. 20 minutes). |
