Indian Lamb Stew- Saag Gosh |

A very flavorful lamb stew for 2 people. A great cool weather dish Ingredients:
1/4 cup water |
1/2 medium onion sliced |
2 garlic cloves |
1/2 lb of lamb stew meat ( from leg )cut 1 inch cubes |
1 large tomato cut in cubes |
half a 10 oz pkg of spinach ( 5 oz total ) ready to eat |
1 tsp cumin |
1 tsp corrinader |
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 tsp ground cardomon |
2 tsp butter |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat water and onion in skillet over medium heat 2. Cook onion for 5 minutes and add garlic and cook a few more minutes. 3. If skillet becomes dry add a bit more water. 4. Add meat and brown on all sides. 5. Add tomato and spinach and spices and cook 5 minutes 6. Remove lid and cook 5 more minutes. 7. Lamb should be tender, if not cook till tender 8. When tender, stir in butter to melt 9. salt and pepper to taste 10. Serve stew over rice. |
