Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal |
1 cup milk, scalded |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon lard, melted |
butter or margarine |
Directions:
1. Combine cornmeal and milk; mix well. Add salt and lard, and stir well. 2. Drop batter by 2 tablespoonfuls onto a hot, lightly greased griddle. Turn cakes when tops are bubbly and edges are browned. Serve hot with butter. |
