A pre-meal appetiser or a snack for those who like a bit of bite! Curry powder can be used in place of the chilli powder. Feel free to add more chilli if you can handle heat. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 cup rice bubbles |
1 cup sultana |
125 g salted peanuts |
125 g salted cashews |
1/8 teaspoon chili powder (a pinch) |
Directions:
1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the rice bubbles and cook for 1 minute. 2. Stir in the sultanas and nuts. Cook for a further 2 minutes over a medium heat, stiring constantly. 3. Remove from the heat, but while the pan is still hot add in the chilli powder and stir through. 4. Cool in the pan and store in an airtight container. |
